Anna’s Hope is the leading children's brain tumour charity in the East of England. We are committed to giving hope to children and young people diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The charity is inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged only three years and eight months old, and was set up by Anna's parents Rob and Carole Hughes, along with her five Godparents in October 2006.

We are CPSL Mind, your local Mind charity, supporting positive mental health for residents of Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire. We are a highly collaborative, values-based mental health charity, providing a wide range of strengths-based services and projects to support recovery from mental health problems and promote positive mental health across our diverse communities. Our services include: Crisis Support, Wellbeing and Peer Support, Supporting New Parents., Mental Health Training, Campaigns and Awareness Raising.

We campaign for positive mental health, removing the stigma of talking about mental health and, through our Stop Suicide Campaign, train and empower people on suicide prevention with the aim to create suicide-safe communities.

LIGHT PROJECT PETERBOROUGH

Light Project Peterborough provides support to those who are in desperate need within Peterborough. The vision of LPP is ‘Enabling and equipping the church and community to heal the broken hearted, set free the oppressed and bring good news to the poor.’ We aim to be a truly city-focused, city-change charity by providing projects such as Street Chaplaincy, Homeless Health Hub, Emergency Night Shelter, and Homeless Health Peer Advocacy. Our biggest project though is The Garden House which opened in October 2018 and is Peterborough’s homeless hub.

Peterborough Foodbank, CareZone and KingsGate Pantry are part of KingsGate Community Action across Peterborough.

Our vision is for Peterborough to be a place where everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food and essential furniture to enable them to create a safe, comfortable home where people can thrive. We want to plant seeds for hope and a better future. Peterborough Foodbank provides emergency food parcels from 5 locations, 6 days a week and fed over 12,600 people in 2025 and is currently budgeting £6000 to purchase food additional to our donations. CareZone is our Furniture Bank and provides emergency items free of charge. In 2025 we had referrals for 845 properties. We need to raise £80,000 to buy 800 beds for the city through our GOODNIGHT SLEEPTIGHT project. KingsGate Pantry provides a low cost food shop to families referred by Lime Academy Trust and manor Drive secondary school. We currently have 120 families registered

HOPE INTO ACTION

Hope into Action provides more than a roof over someone’s head. Homelessness is not only a lack of accommodation, but a lack of resources, relationships, and identity. Through our trained Empowerment Workers and our partner church communities, we provide personalised help to each of our tenants, offering addiction support, employment advice and a community that welcomes and rehabilitates. This combination of professional support and compassionate community makes us distinct from other homeless charities. In 2010, our founder Ed Walker, used his own money to buy one house in Peterborough for people experiencing homelessness. Since then, we have grown to a Network of 126 homes in 37 locations, housing 489 tenants last year alone. Last year, 100% of our tenants who previously served a custodial sentence, did not return to prison, and 91% of tenants said their mental health has improved. Peterborough Women’s Aid (PWA) was formed in 1975. It is the only specialist domestic abuse service in Peterborough and provides safe and stable refuge accommodation for women and children fleeing high risk domestic abuse, potentially at risk of homicide. The refuge provides essential provision for up to eight families where we can offer our specialist, holistic model of support. PWA has several specialist services which is reflective of the diverse population in Peterborough.

EAST ANGLIAN CHILDREN’S HOSPICES

At East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), we deliver all-encompassing, lifelong care that includes a comprehensive range of services to support both bereaved and non-bereaved families. Our aim is to ensure the best possible quality of life for babies, children, and young people. Our supportive care is all-encompassing and, if required, this life-long support includes specialist nursing, therapies, and ongoing wellbeing care through all the ups and downs.

Depending on a family’s needs and wishes, we can provide care in one of our hospices, in the family home, in hospital, or in the wider community. This ensures every family receives care somewhere they feel safe and comfortable. Our hospices at Milton (Cambridge), The Nook (Norwich), and The Treehouse (Ipswich) are all rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

The Wildlife Trust BCN is on a powerful mission to halt nature’s decline and create a wilder future for wildlife, people and the planet. Working across three counties, the Trust cares for over 100 nature reserves, including some of Britain’s rarest habitats, places that give threatened wildlife a chance to recover and thrive. Alongside managing nature reserves, the Trust provides lots of ways for people to learn more about nature through events and training workshops. We provide advice for landowners on how to care to wildlife on their own sites, and we campaign for better protection of wildlife and our natural environment.

The vision of Home-Start Cambridgeshire is for the children in our county to have the best possible start in life. We achieve this through our mission to empower hundreds of parents every year with the skills, knowledge, confidence, and emotional resilience to raise their children to flourish. We offer support to families with at least one child under five, at times when they need us most. Family challenges can be wide ranging and can include parental mental health issues, isolation, disability of the parent or the child, bereavement, coping with multiple or traumatic births, poverty, a lack of parenting skills or confidence. Families may be facing multiple, complex needs and we are there for them often when no-one else is. Support services include volunteer led in-home support, remote support, a weekly group session and specialist parent-child psychotherapy service. Our work is vital because children simply can’t wait.

ROYAL PAPWORTH CHARITY

Royal Papworth Charity adds additional value to the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital – the UK’s leading heart and lung hospital. With increasing pressures on the NHS, the Charity plays a vital role in ensuring that the Cambridge based hospital, which treats around 50,000 patients a year, continues to provide:

Specialist equipment that could aid a patient’s recovery
